Outboard service and repair
Scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, fuel systems, cooling, lower units and powerhead work on the major four-stroke platforms.

Services
If it moves the boat, keeps it dry, or tells you where you are, it is on this list.
Scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, fuel systems, cooling, lower units and powerhead work on the major four-stroke platforms.
Raw and closed cooling, heat exchangers, transmissions, shaft and coupling alignment, and the annual service that keeps a survey clean.
Charging systems, house and start banks, bonding, corrosion, switch panels and the wiring somebody added in 1998 without telling anyone.
Chartplotters, radar, autopilot, transducers, VHF and NMEA 2000 networks that were never terminated properly.
Bilge and livewell pumps, macerators, windlasses, thrusters, generators, trim and tilt, and steering.
An independent mechanical opinion before money changes hands, written down, with compression and fault history included.
Scheduled service
They are the two intervals where the manufacturer expects a set of parts to be replaced, and skipping them is the single most reliable way to turn a maintenance bill into a repair bill.
We quote them per engine, in writing, before the visit. Twin installs get two numbers rather than one big one, because the second engine is not always in the same condition as the first.

Questions
Most of the time, yes. Diagnostics, electrical, fuel systems, cooling, electronics, steering and scheduled service are all dockside work. What is not: anything that needs the boat out of the water, a lower unit that has been run wet, or a powerhead. We will tell you which one you have before we start, not after.
A diagnostic call is a flat fee that gets credited against the repair if you go ahead with it. Labour is billed in quarter hours from the moment we arrive. You are not paying for the drive.
That is the entire business. We are independent, which also means our pre-purchase inspections have nobody's thumb on the scale.
Every job closes with the fault codes cleared and a run at temperature, and on anything load-related, a sea trial. If a symptom only appears under way, it does not get signed off at idle.
That is what the diagnostic call is for, and it comes off the repair.
